ParisB of Mywomenstuff tagged me. Phew…am I glad to do meme. It is a no brainer and yet, so nice to release those loads. Well, I don’t have a dressing table because mine is hidden on these shelves behind my vanity mirror. With small kids, it is unwise to have dressing table because they will smear your lipstick, pour your kick-ass expensive essence on the floor or use your eyeliners as crayons. Trust me, I learnt from mistakes.
That’s why I keep everything hidden. Let’s start the meme without ramblings….
What five beauty products could you not live without?
1) My SKII cleanser
2) SKII miracle essence
3) SKII moisturiser
4) Crabtree & Evelyn body lotion
5) Lip gloss to keep the lips moisturise during the nites
Ok, until I can find a better product, I am sticking to everything SKII.
What’s the worst beauty mistake you’ve made?
Ermm…I am not sure ‘cos I never let anyone touch my face before. No spa, no facial, no problem.
What’s your skincare regime consist of?
Internal
Lots of water and fruits and vege. When I am busy writing paid posts till late nights, I nibbled on dried fruits and nuts or seeds. Some apple cider vinegar with honey and pysillium husks. Now, into Imedeen and I notice smaller pores.
External
Lots of scrubbing for both body and face with face brush and loofah. The whole nine yards, consisting of lots of SKII stuffs. Removing hairs on legs. Some nail polish. Again, I have no patience to sit down and let people do manicure and pedicure.
Favourite beauty treat?
The most expensive cream I can get my hands on. Right now, I am targetting La Mer. But we have none here in Penang so I have to wait till my next trip to KL. I prefer to DIY on a lot of things so splurging on expensive creams is my way of making up for not visiting those beauty salons.
What’s your favourite beauty store?
Nothing in particular. I never shop online before. And hope I don’t cause I will probably finish my PayPal faster than I can earn.
Favourite budget brand?
St. Ives. Bestest.
Favourite premium brands?
Hmm..how do you define premium? At my age, I can afford more stuffs than when I was younger. However, the thrill isn’t there. You know, when you can’t afford, those stuffs look attractive. When you can afford, you realised you don’t need them as much. But I do spend like RM1K on shopping trips, just buying creams and stuffs.
What’s your ’every girl must own one’ item
Lipstick?
And what about skin care: Favourite premium and budget brands?
Hmmm..didn’t you asked already? SKII vs. St. Ives
And hair care?
Hahaha, this is a joke. No amount of expensive hair care can tame my curly wurly hairs. I had tried a lot of brands but none work. So, I better save them the embarassement of mentioning brands.
And finally, best beauty tip?
Don’t wait till it is too late. Start early on taking care of your skin. I am proud that at 43 years old, my skin is not doing too bad because I had been watching them closely since I was 18 years old. Saggy a bit maybe but no wrinkles. I have a mole on each side of my cheeks but no dark spots. So, eat right, care for your skin and I hope to be still radiant at 80 years old.
Now, I want to dig the beauty secrets of :
and
MG.
I will add the links after I asked them cos these ladies have a lot of blogs so I am not sure which to tag!
[...] finally, finally… I can sit down to do this meme that 5x mom of women only tagged me on. This is a great topic cos I don’t have to think hard for the answers… ok [...]
